A Great Time at The National Chef Of The Year Semi Finals

We have had an amazing couple of weeks at the National Chef of The Year semi final heats, across 4 heats 40 Chefs became the 10 finalists and the atmosphere in the kitchens was electric.

A three course meal stood between the Chefs and the final and the judges were looking for:

Starter: Risotto
Main: To include a chicken breast and leg
Dessert: Chefs choice incorporating choux pastry

Here are a few of our favourites:

With 1 winner going through from each heat and the 6 finalists chosen from the highest overall score it was a tense wait for the Sheffield semi finalists who had to wait a full week until the end of heat 4 to find out if they had done enough.

After 4 tough closely fought heats the finalists heading to London for the final are:

Danny Parker Head Chef House Of Tides
Martin Carabott Senior Sous Chef The Royal Automobile Club
