Onion Crisp Bread Dehydrator Recipes

Ingredients

  • 3 Large sweet white onions
  • 130g ground sunflower seeds (you can grind them yourself using a coffee grinder)
  • 130g ground flax seeds (you can grind them yourself using a coffee grinder)
  • 80ml olive oil
  • 3 1/2 tbsp. of raw soy sauce, tamari or nama shoyu

Method

These cracker breads are really easy to make and are ideal for lunches and snacks

METHOD

  1. Place the peeled onions into a food processor and blitz until very small. Turn off the processor before the onions become mushy
  2. Transfer the onions into a mixing bowl along with all the other ingredients and use a wooden spoon to combine
  3. Line three dehydrator trays with Excalibur sheets or parchment and spread the onion mixture on top
  4. Cook at 120⁰F for 1 hour, then after this time reduce the dehydrator temperature to 40⁰C and allow to cook for approximately 6 hours. Dehydrating time will depend on how crispy you like your bread. Check frequently and flip once during cooking
